Online poker gaming is exploding - get some action yourself !

July 08th, 2009 | Category: online poker gaming, online poker tips, poker online

Online poker gaming is not the same as brick & mortar casino poker. While the rules are generally the same, the way the games are played are very different. The primary reason for this is that there is a complete lack of visual tells online. This means that online players must bet to gain information about their hand, whereas the same information is available to casino players from visual clues. This means that in online poker there are different ways needed to gain information about your competitors which in turn leads to probe raises. The end result is that there is generally more action online than you will find in a brick and mortar casino. I’m not saying one is better than the other, or necessarily more or less profitable. They are just different in fundamental ways. Many of the abilities needed to win in casino poker of course also exist in online poker. You still shouldn’t play at a level you can’t afford, and so on.

It’s also a lot faster, as there’s no banter around the table. For casino players, this interplay is a central element of the game, whereas for some this could  be  a disadvantage because these people know all about body language. Some of us can’t keep a poker face so sitting behind a VDU can be a real advantage!

Poker online is also a great way to sharpen your poker skills in a less expensive way right from home, without having to head to some land based card room or casino far away. Almost every online poker room gives you the choice to download the software for free and to play using “play money,” which is a great way to get comfortable with the game before playing with real cash. So poker online is much more comfortable and profitable for some.

Online poker gaming is a not only a lot of fun, it can teach you the strategies you will need one day to make profit playing poker for real money. So if you’re a beginner looking for free play money poker sites we strongly recommend you wait before utilizing any of the no deposit bonuses you can get until you have developed some skills - because it would be a shame to waste any free poker money, wouldn’t it?.

Unlike at a bricks and mortar casino, online you can play at more than one table at a time. Some enthusiasts log into more than one poker site at a time which can  mean you don’t have to be as good a player to make the same amount of money.

In some ways, online poker gaming is preferred by many as they have full 24/7 action available to them and a opportunity to develop skills in texas holdem or other games before playing with big money stakes.

Poker Tips for Beginners Covering Betting Chips

August 27th, 2009 | Category: online poker tips

From http://gamblerstelevision.com
Hello Poker Players Tony T from Gamblers Television with our instructional series on Poker for Beginners.

In this edition we cover Tournament Poker: How to Bet with Chips

We are going to talk about the proper way to bet using chips at the table.

Here is the proper way to bet with chips while playing poker. Stack your chips and push forward. (DEMO)

If you were betting more than two stacks of chips to call or raise the best way to bet would be to verbally declare your action and then move the amount of chips declared in a forward motion. If you are raising the pot simply announce RAISE and declare the total amount of chips you are betting. For example say the call amount is $600 and you want to raise $600 more simply verbally declare: Raise To $1200 total and then stack your $1200 worth of chips and push forward. If you are going “All In” the best way to do this if you have more than two stacks of chips in front of you is to verbally declare “All In”. You then push all your remaining chips in front of you forward in clear view of all the players and dealer. (DEMO) The dealer will then count the bet and announce the amount to the players.

The dealer is responsible for placing your chips into the pot once all bets are made during the betting round. A player should never toss chips into a pot.

To respect the game splashing chips into the pot is not appropriate. Splashing chips is the act of tossing chips into the pot. Your chips have the potential of getting mixed in with the pot and confuse the dealer and players what your exact bet is. When you splash chips into the pot the dealer must count the pot and determine how much there should be in the pot and how much you splashed into the pot. This process slows down the game and irritates the players. The blinds or the two forced bets in each deal increase in tournaments and the tournament clock doesn’t stop for this. So splashing is bad etiquette.

String betting is the act of making two or more forward motions with chips when betting and is not allowed at casinos. Your first stack of chips forwardly moved into the pot will stand. If the stack isn’t enough to make the call you will be allowed to add remaining chips into the pot to make an exact call.

If you verbally announce raise you may push forward into the pot the amount needed to call. Then your next forward motion with chips will determine the amount you are raising.

Oversized chip betting: Oversize chip betting is betting with a chip that is of a higher denomination that is bet without any verbal declaration of a raise in the first round of betting. Players may have chips in denomination of 25, 100, 500 and 1000 at the start of the tournament. If the blinds are 25-50 lets say and you place a $100 or larger chip size bet without announcing a raise it will be treated only as a call. If you are going to raise the pot in the first round of betting using a large chip you must announce raise and the amount of the raise prior to the oversized chip touching the table. This only applies to the first round of betting and a bet with an oversized chip in betting rounds 2-4 without any verbal declaration will constitute the size of the bet.

Keep your largest chips in front and in clear view of your opponents.

Fifa 09 Online Play

August 22nd, 2009 | Category: online poker tips

Watch in HD!

Here is the first of maybe many Fifa 09 Online videos. I don’t know how many, but a few more online videos will be made. This is not my best work, but I think it turned out pretty good. There is a bit of everything: Skill moves, free kicks, passing, and shots =)

My internet connection is really bad, so it was a bit hard to make the video. since I lost the connection =/ Some of the opponents was maybe not the best, and I’ll work on it in my next Online videos. I’ll try to face some harder opponents =)

If I go for the win, I useally pass the ball a lot more. But this video was just about fun! It’s really funny dribbling your opponents. The final result doesn’t matter, if the match was fun, in my opinion =)

If you think I faced some bad opponents, or I played bad, or I should use a other team, then don’t come with some ty comments. I’ll try to improve it in my next Online videos =)
