Is Online Poker Rigged?

Category: poker online

Online poker is not rigged. The poker sites make their money from the rake not you loosing a hand. With that being said the question you should be asking yourself is what do I need to watch out for while playing online? There are hackers that claim they have programs that allow them to cheat. But I don’t believe them.

The rake is the money the online poker site collects from the players each hand. It is a percentage of the money that is bet. At most sites there is a cap on the rake, therefore it is in the sites best interest to leave things alone and have many players making mostly normal small bets. The reason you may see more big hands like a straight flush or four of a kind online is the play online is generally loose especially at low money tables. The more players in a hand means its more likely that a someone will draw a monster hand. Its not the way the program is shuffling the cards.

Hackers that claim they have hacked the poker sites are usually trying to sell you some kind of cheater program. These programs don’t work and are nothing more than a scam. The online poker sites are super secure these days. A reputation of security and fairness equals new customers and cash

Which is the most rigged online poker site?
Obviously online poker sites are cheating a lot. If you can’t tell that they are cheating with a rigged deal then you probably are not a good enough player to win. The sites cheat with a rigged deal and it has been proven many times. So which site has the most bizarrely rigged deal and shows no shame in rigging their game?

PokerStars gave hole card data to the researchers, who published it. Although hand and user ID’s were masked, anyone who saves poker hands can match those back up. Some hands might be ambiguous, such as those folded to one player preflop, but most should be unique. This is a direct violation of PokerStars clear promise, "No private data, such as pocket cards, is ever transferred to other players."

Poker stars will obviously be the most preferred choice among poker enthusiasts. If you are looking for a good site that offers you poker gaming facility check the site once. For more information on online poker you can even search through the online casino review sites.

"Obviously" nothing - there are only 2..count ‘em, 2…known instances of major online cheating. And yes, I AM a good enough player to tell…

Really? There have been high-profile cheating scandals at Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, but there no reports of cheating at the two biggest sites, Full Tilt and Poker Stars. You seem to be buying into the myth that poker sites are rigged in general, which simply isn’t true.

If you’re interested in keeping tabs on cheating the world of poker and casinos (face to face and online), check Richard Marcus’s blog:

If you’re not, you’re welcome to continue laboring under the illusion that there’s cheating at every online site and none in face-to-face games.

Obviously, you are clueless, as the only scandals been proven so far had nothing to do with a rigged deal, nor were they related to the sites themselves, but to individual thieves.

Many online players do think that there are some "rigged deals" in online poker. The speculation is called the Poker Action Flop Theory which suspects that some sites create action flops by letting the lesser skilled, card chasing players hit a miracle card on the river to win the pot over the more experienced players who play good hands agressively.
